Eastern Data Acquires Southside Telecommunications and Networking

Virginia Beach, VA—May 1, 2008—Eastern Data Inc., a leading information technology services company specializing in voice, data, video and network systems, has recently announced the acquisition of Southside Telecommunications and Networking, Inc.

Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Eastern Data has more than 21 years of experience. The company's ability to implement multiple technologies—such as computer networking, software, hardware, telephone and voice mail, Internet access, video surveillance and data security—provides customers with fully integrated, custom IT solutions.

The company acquired Chesapeake-based Southside Telecommunications and Networking, a provider of superior telecommunications and cabling products to the Hampton Roads area for more than a decade.
